The biggest of U.S. tech shows on Tuesday announced that proof of vaccination is necessary for in-person attendance. CES, the Super Bowl of tech confabs that takes place in Las Vegas in early January, is planning a hybrid version. The weeklong event, last held with people in 2020, usually draws more than 100,000. "Based on today's science, we understand vaccines offer us the best hope for stopping the spread of COVID-19," Gary Shapiro, chief executive of Consumer Technology Association, which puts on the show, said in a statement. "We all play a part in ending the pandemic through encouraging vaccinations and implementing the right safety protocols.
